Book share

Please bring one or two of your favorite environmental reference books, new or recycled, as a contribution to the book share table. The books are available on a first-come, first-served basis to delegates who might not readily find such books in their own locales.

Dine Outs

The tradition of Dine Outs is back for IAIA15. Spend an evening sampling Italian food at a "pay your own way" dinner. Italy has always been synonymous with good food. Italian cuisine is an unmistakable explosion of flavors, scents and perfumes. Each county, city, and municipality has its own recipes, and their peculiar proposals are always accompanied by a glass of local wine. Tuscany in particular offers restaurants featuring both fish and meat, due to its geographical position partly overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and softened by gently sloping hills covered with vineyards and olive groves that continue inland. A local host is organizing the Dine Outs and will help you experince the best of the local cuisine in Florence.
To join, sign up on the forms that will be available in the registation area.
Dine Outs are a great opportunity to meet new people and see different parts of the city in a jovial atmosphere.
Tuesday, 21 April

Jobs bulletin board

A bulletin board specifically designated for job advertisements will be available in the exhibition area.  If you are looking for a job or if your company has jobs to post, bring along the announcement!  Also see Career Central ( before and after the conference for the latest job openings.

Buffet of Ideas

The “Buffet of Ideas” is an informal networking session that provides participants the opportunity to create their own workshops in small groups over lunch.
This meeting method allows yet another opportunity for participants to network, sharing ideas on topics of interest and connecting with colleagues who have similar interests but whom you might not meet during formal sessions.
At lunch on Monday, select tables will be labeled with discussion topics. Find a table with a topic you would like to discuss and have a seat. Lunch is provided, and discussion flows.

Fun Run

This is a great way to start the day and network with fellow runners. The route will refresh your mind and body and offer a chance to meet people you might not otherwise meet during formal sessions. Everyone is welcome:  runners, walkers, spectators, and volunteers. Pre-registration and a nominal fee is required from runners/walkers to cover prizes. To volunteer to assist with the run or for more information, please contact Roberta Vicentini  (
Wednesday, 22 April | 07:00-08:00
