Bringing together regional and international experts, this workshop will challenge current thinking by exploring how impact assessment practitioners might support urban/regional planners in addressing long-term cumulative climate and global impacts in their City Development Strategies and long-range planning. This will include looking at the current state of urban development and its resilience to climate change, followed by a series of short presentations and a panel discussion on impact assessment’s role in planning for 2050 and beyond.

After lunch, participants will break out into small groups (a World Café format) to discuss pertinent questions facing city planners and impact assessment professionals.

This workshop is targeted to city planners, climate change experts, social impact assessment specialists, and environmental assessment practitioners.

The registration fee includes lunch and two coffee breaks.

Please register early! This workshop will be cancelled if it does not reach the minimum number of paid participants by 15 August 2022. If the workshop does not meet the minimum number by 15 August, IAIA HQ will notify you and provide refund information. Workshop registration after 15 August is possible but is subject to availability and receipt of payment up until the 7 September final registration deadline.

If you must cancel, please notify IAIA via email/written request no later than 7 September 2022. IAIA will then refund the workshop fee minus a 25% processing fee. After 7 September, no refunds will be issued for cancellations or no-shows.
